Event Information

We are trying very hard to document all events/activities and keep a master list. Heather Stacy – our Cosmos Events Coordinator - is responsible for managing the Service Unit Event/Activity Calendar. If you are planning an activity or event during 2010-2011 for which you plan to invite other troops from the service unit, please contact Heather Stacy with the date of your activity. She will place events on the below calendar on a first-come, first-serve basis and please note that Service Unit activities take priority. We do not want to have several activities on the same weekend that troops need to choose from (or several large events in the same month)! Also, if you have volunteered for a Service Unit Activity please verify the dates that you are planning to hold the event with Heather. All flyers, communication, announcements, etc. will be approved / handled through Heather, that way there is no confusion for our other leaders or girls. Please be patient with us – as we implement this new process. Contact Heather Stacy if you have any specific questions.

Planning for the year?  Don't forget that we have plenty of resources already available on our Service Unit Website: http://www.girlscoutsofwesternohio.org/Program/GRRegion.htm

Other events to count on for the year, but that have not yet been scheduled for a specific date and time yet are:

  • Father Daughter Dance - Fall, Diedre Benton and Jen Weaver
  • Family Cake Bake Off/Decorating Contest- February, Vicki Larrick
  • Starglazers holiday event for leaders/daughters- December Leader Meeting, Krista Somershoe
  • Hi-Tops- April, Lisa Miller, Julie Adwani
  • Yard Sale- May, Krista Somershoe
  • KI Girl Scout Day- April/May, Julia Poe
  • Twilight Camp- June/July- TBD
  • Mason Scout Day- Last year it was in October, waiting to hear when it will be this year.
